World Aids Day

Fifth & Sixth year pupils from the Geography Department in Kirkintilloch High school have been learning about the spread of HIV/Aids in Scotland and around the world. In order to raise awareness of World Aids Day on December 1st, pupils have been selling red ribbons which are used as a symbol to fight prejudice and educate people about many misconceptions surrounding the disease. The pupils raised £119.53 for the National Aids Trust and would like to thank everyone who bought a ribbon and who has supported the global campaign to combat HIV/Aids.
