In school while we have been in our weekly business class, we have been focusing on an important topic in the world, Fairtrade. We spoke about what products actually ARE Fairtrade, like bananas, coffee, chocolate and more. As well as that we spoke about Foncho and his campaign for rights to a proper price for his produce.

It was quite sad to think that some people aren’t getting a fair price for what they grow, or even enough to feed their families. They get about £50 a year, for endless hours of work, in terrible conditions that could risk their lives. For every £1 spent on bananas, 1p goes to the worker and 40p goes to the supermarket.
Foncho and his campaign are trying to stop that and you should be too, everything helps. For more information, go to: http://foncho.fairtrade.org.uk/

If you signed it too, you could help another worker could get fair pay.
