Interhouse events

Through their involvement in Kirkintilloch High School’s Inter house events the pupils develop their self-awareness, self-worth and respect for others, they overcome challenges and build relationships as well as experiencing personal achievement. The 2016-17 House system was launched this week through House Assemblies, led by Guidance staff. Pupils were appointed to positions of Vice and House Captains through a rigorous selection process involving class elections and then presentations at House Assemblies.   S1 Pupils within each house will be presented with a House badge for their blazer.

There are numerous events planned throughout the year including pupil and staff karaoke, football, netball, school discos, quizzes, Who dares Wins competition, redesign of registration doors in a chosen theme, Connect 4 championships, maths challenge and athletics. Points are also awarded for Houses with the best attendance, behaviour records and participation in extracurricular activities.

Under the leadership of Mrs Hayworth, we look forward to the continued success of the Inter house programme this session and hope to include even more events.
