s3 Real Business Challenge

All S3 pupils participated in the Real Business Challenge on 6th and 7th October in association with Coca Cola Enterprises Ltd and Technology subjects. Pupils welcomed a visit from Gerry Dunn of the Natural Fruit and Beverage Company to inspire our young learners with the challenge of designing a healthy juice drink brand. Pupils worked collaboratively in small teams and adopted roles as company researchers, graphic designers, CAD engineers, finance managers, marketing managers and nutritionalists, to present a business plan for an original healthy drink.

There were 5 winning companies who then entered the ‘Dragon’s Den’ to present their business proposal. The winning team was Ben Bradley, Daniel French, Kayleigh Scoular, Emma Semple, Callum Querns and Max Wheadon collectively known as ‘Juice Ltd’. The runners up were ‘Juiced for You’ with Rebecca Cramman, Keri Gibson, Riley Keddie, Shaun Tait, Kerr McCormick and Kyle Pye. Both teams’ business proposals will be entered into Coca Cola’s Real Business Challenge.

Well done to all S3 pupils involved in the challenge day and demonstrating excellent collaborative and team building skills.
