Medics against Violence

Medics Against Violence, a charity which encourages medical professionals to be involved in work to prevent violence, visited S2 pupils during PSE last week. They currently operate a schools programme which sees volunteer health care professionals deliver anti-violence lessons in schools. The lessons are targeted at S2 pupils, and aim to prevent violence and knife crime before it happens. The medics were able to discuss their experiences to help young people stay safe by giving them an understanding of the consequences of violence and how to avoid it.
