Pollok Park Trenches

On Tuesday 7th February, S3 History pupils had the opportunity to visit the Digging In World War One Trenches at Pollok Park. The pupils had the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of soldier experiences on the Western Front through visiting both Allied and German trenches and making medical decisions on the war wounded. The pupils embraced the learning experience and were exceptionally cheery despite added realism of the low temperatures, rain and snow. The pupils were a credit to their year group and to the school.

Thank you to Mr Stevenson and Mrs Brown for assisting with the learning experience.
