Be all you can be

Kirkintilloch High School aims to ensure that all our learners will experience opportunities which are designed not only to raise their awareness of future choices but also raise their expectations and aspirations. As part of our S2 PSE programme we re-launched our event ‘Be all you can be’ to help prepare our S2 pupils for their curricular pathway choices. This year’s event took place on Wednesday  February 8th  and involved visiting guests from a wide range of career and education backgrounds talking to small groups of pupils in a ‘speed dating’ format. This event gave our pupils insight into different careers and introduced  our pupils to opportunities that they might not have otherwise considered. Feedback from guests, pupils and staff was very positive.

We are extremely grateful to all our guests for giving up their valuable time to talk to our pupils, and included representatives from:

Police, Fire Brigade, Army, Navy, STEM engineers, Nurses, Martin Vets, McLarens garage, Media Scotland , Graphic designers, Clydesdale Bank, Marks and Spencer, Prison Service, Opticians and Central Building Contractors.
